For Professional Educators

You’ve learned a lot in your years as a teacher, but now you’re looking for a way to take your pedagogical skills in a new, more creative direction. Is your passion is early education? Language and literature? Science and mathematics? Perhaps you’ve been a professional painter or musician, and are now ready to share your gifts with a new generation of artists. Whatever your calling, you want to spend your time teaching, not training students to take standardized tests. You’re interested in questions, not just rote answers. You want to provide your students with tools for life, not just scores for transcripts. If this sounds like you, you have the makings of a true Waldorf teacher!

Certification Program

Our certification program can help you build on what you’ve learned as an educator or professional, and reawaken your passion for teaching. Our classes emphasize dialogue and collaboration; you’ll be learning the principles of Waldorf education with like-minded colleagues, people whose energy, experiences, and imagination will help give direction to your journey. At the end of the program, you’ll be a fully-certified Waldorf teacher, ready and able to teach in any one of the the myriad Waldorf schools across the country. You’ll work with creative, inspiring students, supportive, congenial parents, and ethically committed colleagues. Sound like a dream come true? Take a few moments to fill out our contact form, and get started!

Requirements for a Waldorf Teacher Early Childhood Certificate

“The teacher is free to teach in the way he or she feels is best suited to the children. There’s a general curriculum, but there’s great freedom in how one brings the curriculum to the class.”
